Get ready for some ‘feel good’.

Just a few hours of volunteer work can make a difference in your happiness. Research has proven that volunteers are happier, healthier and even sleep better than those who don’t volunteer – just ask the folks at Volunteering Australia.

Volunteering as a Justice of the Peace is great way to join the ranks of the 6 million plus Australians who willingly and generously give their time to help others in the community.

If you are thinking of becoming a Justice of the Peace, and would like to know more about the role of JPs in the ACT, please contact the Secretary of the ACT JPs Association (Mr Geoff Wood JP) on secretary@actjpa.org.au.

You can also read our brochure How Can I Become a JP?

The appointment of JPs is handled by Access Canberra and you can find out more about the process, and an on-line application form, here.
