The Dickson Public Library is closed until further notice while the government carries out urgent building works. Unfortunately, this means the JP Signing Centre at the library is also closed. Other JP Signing Centres are services still available as usual.

Access Canberra maintains a public register of all ACT Justices of the Peace. It is important that your details are recorded correctly on the Register. The JP Register is a key means for members of the public to locate a Justice of the Peace. The Register works well, but only if JPs keep their details up to date.
Access Canberra wrote recently to all ACT Justices of the Peace (on or around 8 February 2018). The letter advised JPs of some changes to the current website as well as some other updates relevant to work as a JP.
As a Justice of the Peace, you do are not required to register simply because you are a JP. The need for registration is effected by how often you provide services to vulnerable people as well as whether the contact is incidental.
Some of our Signing Centres will be closed over the Christmas festive season, while our JPs take a short break. A list of the dates the Signing Centres will be closed is available here.
