Are you interested in joining the Executive – to be active in the ‘engine room’ and have a say in our future? Can you help the Executive in other ways?

A key part of the Annual General Meeting on 5 November is the election of the Executive for 2017 ( President,  Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer/Registrar, and three ‘Ordinary’ Executive Members).  All Executive positions are open for appointment.

The retiring members of the Executive are eligible for re-election (and most have indicated their intention to re-nominate), but there are vacancies. President Beverly Alley urges all members to consider whether they can serve the Association by joining the Executive.

There are also other ways that you could contribute to your Association’s activities. For instance, the current editor of our journal Justice Matters, is unable to continue in this role – so we are looking for a new editor. The editor does not necessarily need to be on the Executive (although that is ideal it is not critical). Also during 2016 we formed working groups for various areas of the association’s activities – perhaps you may like to consider joining one of those. P{resident Beverly would be happy to provide further information on the various roles and responsibilities – just drop her an email or give her a call ( or 0438 948 497).

A nomination form for the Executive Committee is available here.

Nominations must be received by the Secretary by 28 October 2016.
